Bus/RV Parking

Guests with oversized vehicles that have traditionally used two passes to gain admittance are advised to purchase an oversized pass in advance. Oversized vehicles are Class B buses, RVs or any vehicle that extends beyond one parking space but still fits within two spaces without impeding the emergency vehicle lane. Oversized vehicle passes are available in Red and Gold parking lots. Should you currently have two passes for your oversized vehicle please contact the Fan Experience Department at 816.920.4237 and we would be more than happy to switch these passes out for one Oversized pass. Please note that oversized parking passes are not intended to be used to gain an additional space for tailgating.

Class A & C (25ft or longer), Bus/RV parking starting in the 2016 season will be parked on a first-come first-serve basis with the earliest arrivals being parked along the west side of Kauffman Stadium on Lancer Lane. After capacity is reached on Lancer Lane, RVs and buses will park along the north edge of Lot J. After Lot J reaches capacity, RVs and buses will park along the north edge of Dubiner Circle behind Kauffman Stadium. Space is limited, therefore we recommend you arrive early to secure a bus parking space. The cost of bus parking is $70 and overnight parking for any type of vehicle is prohibited.

Bus/RV: $700 for season parking (price is for 10 games - $70 per game) (available in limited quantities)

Parking Alternative: zTrip

Through an Arrowhead Events partnership with zTrip, Arrowhead Stadium guests have the opportunity to book a round trip ride to and from Arrowhead Stadium, receiving preferred entry access via the zTrip lane at Gate 1. Guests taking the zTrip option will be dropped off on the east side of Arrowhead Stadium across from Lot A and Lot B on Red Coat Drive and will be picked up following the game at the same location. zTripā€™s fleet includes a number of transportation options at various price ranges, including local taxis, shuttles and limousines. Tailgating

Arrowhead Stadium has a rich tailgate tradition. Before arriving, please review the following tailgate policies to ensure that your tailgate is compliant.

  • One parking space per vehicle and tailgate equipment.
  • Dispose of coals in designated bins.
  • Parking spaces may not be used for tailgate equipment alone.
  • Maintaining an aisle that is clear of tailgate equipment in order to accommodate emergency vehicles is imperative for maintaining a safe environment. To assist with this effort, your total tailgate (including guests) is limited to eight (8) feet behind each parking space.

Approved Tailgating Procedures

Emergency Vehicle Lane

Maintaining an aisle that is clear of tailgate equipment in order to accommodate emergency vehicles is imperative for a safe environment. To assist with this effort, all fans are asked to contain all tailgate equipment to an eight-foot area behind each parking space. In some parking lots at the Truman Sports Complex solid yellow lines have been painted to help identify these emergency vehicle lanes. These lanes will still allow eight feet of tailgate space behind each parking space. Fans First staff members will also be navigating the parking lots via golf carts to provide assistance to guests.

Tailgating and Early Arrival

Over time, Arrowhead Stadium and Chiefs fans have become world-renowned for the tailgating experience. As an organization, the Chiefs encourage tailgating but have seen a need to create a solution for greater operational efficiency. The below plan accommodates the most enthusiastic tailgaters while also providing a better parking experience to the large amount of non-tailgating fans that attend games.

There will continue to be a one-hour early arrival open parking period for Chiefs Kingdom Rewards members beginning five and a half hours prior to kickoff for fans who redeem their Chiefs Kingdom Rewards points for an Early Arrival Tailgate Pass. There is a limited number of these passes available each game. Early arrival open parking will be directed to the appropriate sections (Red or Gold) of Lots C, D, F and G. All approved grass parking locations will also be available during this time on a first-come first-serve basis. Platinum (Lots M and E) pass holders who use points to redeem an Early Arrival Tailgate Pass will be directed to their designated lot. Early Arrival Tailgate Pass holders must enter through Gate 1 or Gate 7 and will still need to have a prepaid parking pass. If they do not have a prepaid parking pass they will be required to pay the cash parking fee at the gate. The redemption of points for an Early Arrival Tailgate Pass on Chiefs Kingdom Rewards does not secure your parking spot.

A 30-minute open parking period for guests who choose not to redeem Chiefs Kingdom Rewards points will be permitted four and a half hours before kickoff and those vehicles will be directed to Lots C, D, F, G and all approved grass parking locations. Four hours prior to kickoff, open parking will end and all vehicles will be directed to the next available space in the next available lot or will be allowed to park in available, approved grass parking areas.

Open parking does not apply to full size buses or RVs as they will still have access to park in the appropriate bus/RV parking area. With the exception of Chiefs Kingdom Rewards Early Arrival Tailgate Pass guests (who must enter through Gate 1 or Gate 7), all fans should plan to enter the parking gate closest to their preferred parking lot as they have in past years.

Oversized vehicle, Buses or RV's

If we deem your vehicle to be too large for one space, you may be directed to another parking area and/or required to purchase an Oversized vehicle pass (2 parking spaces) or Bus/RV pass (more than 2 parking spaces).

Vehicle Size Chart

Bus/RV parking starting in the 2016 season will be parked on a first-come first-serve basis with the earliest arrivals being parked along the west side of Kauffman Stadium on Lancer Lane. After capacity is reached on Lancer Lane, RVs and buses will park along the north edge of Lot J. After Lot J reaches capacity, RVs and buses will park along the north edge of Dubiner Circle behind Kauffman Stadium.

Oversized vehicles are Class B Buses, RVs or any vehicle that extends beyond one parking space but still fits within two spaces without impeding the emergency vehicle lane. Oversized vehicle passes are available in Red and Gold parking lots. Should you currently have two passes for your oversized vehicle or have further questions, please contact the Fan Experience Department at 816.920.4237 and we would be more than happy to switch these passes out for one Oversized pass. Please note that oversized parking passes are not intended to be used to gain an additional space for tailgating.

Space is limited, therefore we recommend you arrive early to secure a bus parking space. The cost of bus parking is $70 and overnight parking for any type of vehicle is prohibited.

  • Bus/RV: $700 for season parking (price is for 10 games - $70 per game) (available in limited quantities)

Frequently Asked Questions

When do the parking lots open?

Parking lots open 4.5 hours prior to kickoff, but we highly recommend arriving early. The closer it gets to kickoff, the more crowded the roadways and parking lots will become. So arrive early to tailgate or check out the activation between the stadium and entry gates.

When do the parking lots close on gameday at Arrowhead Stadium?

The parking lots close 1 hour after the end of the game. Security will go around to remind guests that parking lots will close 1 hour after the end of the game.

Can I tailgate?

Tailgating at Arrowhead Stadium is a long-standing tradition, and is permitted in all parking lots at the Truman Sports Complex, provided that guests tailgate within the area eight feet behind where your vehicle is parked. Please reference the proper tailgating map below. Guests should keep an emergency drive aisle clear down the row for emergency and security response teams. Please be courteous to fellow fans, and keep in mind that parking spaces are for vehicles to park in, not for tailgating. We are actively monitoring all lots with additional security and patrols to enforce the one car, one spot policy.

Approved Tailgating Procedures

While tailgating is permitted on the Truman Sports Complex at specified times, any unauthorized commercial activity is strictly prohibited and is a violation of the policies of Arrowhead Stadium and the Kansas City Chiefs. If your vehicle is deemed a full size Bus/RV by parking attendants, you will be required to pay the Bus/RV amount and must park in the designated Bus/RV area.

If you have a large tailgate party, Arrowhead Stadium management strongly encourages you to arrive early and use the grassy patches located between parking lots. These grass areas are first come, first serve.

Grills and fire pits are permitted for tailgating enjoyment, provided guests do so only in the eight-foot tailgating space behind their vehicle. However, the use of grills and fire pits near buildings or in areas where guests or property may be damaged is strictly prohibited. For your safety and convenience, hot coal bins have been provided for the disposal of charcoal and flammable products. We ask that guests dispose of charcoal and other flammable products in the designated charcoal bins throughout the parking lots. Please DO NOT discard trash in the hot coal bins or hot coal ashes in the trash containers.

Trash and recycle bins are located throughout the Truman Sports Complex parking lots and near Arrowhead Stadium. Please reference the map below for placement of trash, recycle and coal bins throughout the Truman Sports Complex.

Personal porta johns are strictly prohibited. Designated porta johns provided by Arrowhead Stadium management are located throughout the Truman Sports Complex. Please reference the following map below for porta john locations.
