Though the Chiefs are down a starting defensive back, they will be facing a Chargers squad that is depleted at wide receiver. The Chargers ruled out starter Robert Meachem and third receiver Eddie Royal prior to the game, leaving the team with just three healthy receivers: Malcom Floyd, Seyi Ajirotutu and Danario Alexander.
Alexander, who was just signed off the street last week, is expected to start opposite Floyd. Safety Eric Weddle will return punts in place of Royal.
Also deactivated for the game were CB Chris Carr, OLB Larry English, TE Ladarius Green, ILB James Mouton and SS Brandon Taylor.
