Originally entered the NFL as the Chiefs fifth-round draft pick (208th overall) in the 2014 NFL Draft.

NFL Career Highlights:

  • Rookie quarterback enters his first season with Kansas City after a standout collegiate career at Georgia where he became the first player in the SEC and school history to throw for over 3,000 yards in four consecutive seasons.
  • Originally entered the NFL as the Chiefs fifth-round draft pick (208th overall) in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Started all 52 games he saw action in as he became the first player in the SEC and Georgia football history to throw for over 3,000 yards in four consecutive seasons … Completed 921-of-1,478 passes (62.3%) for 13,166 yards, 121 touchdowns and 41 interceptions … Scored 16 TDs on 286 carries that netted 396 yards … Finished his collegiate career ranked first in the SEC in total offense with 13,562 yards ... Became the first SEC player to throw for 12,000 yards (13,166) and ranked first with 121 TD passes ...   • Graduated with a degree in psychology in May, 2012, and took classes in UGA’s industrial-organizational psychology doctorate program during the 2012-13 seasons.
  • Brother, Josh, played safety at Georgia.
